19 du'ās

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنَّا نَجْعَلُكَ فِي نُحُورِهِمْ وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شُرُورِهِمْ

Powerful Dua for Protection from Enemies

O Allah, we ask You to restrain them by their necks and we seek refuge in You from their evil.

Sahih. Abu Dawud: 1537

اَللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ وَرَبَّ الْعَرْشِ الْعَظِيْمِ كُنْ لِي جَارًا مِنْ فُلَانِ بْنِ فُلَانٍ، وَأَحْزَابِهِ مِنْ خَلَائِقِكَ (وَمِنْ شَرِّ خَلْقِكَ كُلِّهِمْ جَمِيْعًا) أَنْ يَفْرُطَ عَلَيَّ أَحَدٌ مِنْهُمْ أَوْ يَطْغَى عَزَّ جَارُكَ وَجَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ وَلَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Dua for Protection from Oppressors

O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens, Lord of the Magnificent Throne, be for me a support against [such and such a person] and his helpers from among your creatures, lest any of them abuse me or do me wrong. Mighty is Your patronage and glorious are Your praises. There is none worthy of worship but You. Narrated from Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) and Abdullah Ibn Abbas (RA), they said: If anyone fears harm from any ruler, administrator or powerful person, he should recite this dua.

Sahih (Albani). Sahih Al-Targhib: 2237, Adabul Mufrad: 707

اَللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِيْهِمْ بِمَا شِئْتَ

Dua for Safety from Harmful People

O Allah, suffice (i.e. protect) me against them however You wish.

Muslim 4/2300, 3005

يَا حَيُّ، يَا قَيُّوْمُ

Prophet’s Dua in Battle (Ya hayyu ya qayyum)

O Ever Living One, O Eternal One. Ali (RA) said: ”In the day of Badr war, after fighting for some while I was rushing to come to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) to see what he was doing. I saw him in a state of prostration and only saying these words : ya ‘hayyu ya qayyum (O Ever Living One, O Eternal One) and didn’t increase over that. Then again I went to the war. After some time I returned to him. Again I saw him in a state of prostration and only saying those same words.Then again I went to the war. After some time I returned to him and saw him in a state of prostration and only saying those same words. Then Allah granted him (ﷺ) victory. We can see in this hadith how to make dua by dhikr. This type of dua brings best result.

Hasan (Haisami). Tabarani: 4817

اَللَّهُ رَبِّي لَا أُشْرِكُ بِهِ شَيْئًا

Dua for Stress and Overthinking

Allah is my Lord. I do not associate anything with Him. Ayesha (RA) said, "The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), used to gather all his family together and say: If any of you are ever in trouble or in danger, say this."

Sahih. Ibn Majah: 3882

اَللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ عَضُدِي، وَأَنْتَ نَصِيرِي، بِكَ أَحُولُ وَبِكَ أَصُولُ، وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ

Dua to overcome Anxiety (Masnun Dua)

O Allah, You are my strength and You are my support. For Your sake I go forth and for Your sake I advance and for Your sake I fight.

Hasan Gharib. Abu Dawud: 2632

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ

Prophet’s Dua in Danger (HasbunAllahu)

Allah is sufficient for me, and how fine a trustee (He is). This dua was recited by Ibrahim (As) when he was thrown into the fire. And Muhammad (ﷺ) recited this prayer when the people said to him, "The people are united against you!"

Bukhari: 4563

اَللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ، اَللَّهُ أَعَزُّ مِنْ خَلْقِهِ جَمِيعًا، اَللَّهُ أَعَزُّ مِمَّا أَخَافُ وَأَحْذَرُ، أَعُوْذُ بِاللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْمُمْسِكِ السَّمَوَاتِ السَّبْعِ أَنْ يَقَعْنَ عَلَى الْأَرْضِ إِلَّا بِإِذْنِهِ، مِنْ شَرِّ عَبْدِكَ فُلَانٍ، وَجُنُودِهِ وَأَتْبَاعِهِ وَأَشْيَاعِهِ، مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْإِنْسِ، اَللَّهُمَّ كُنْ لِي جَارًا مِنْ شَرِّهِمْ، جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُكَ وَعَزَّ جَارُكَ، وَتَبَارَكَ اسْمُكَ، وَلَا إِلَهَ غَيْرُكَ

Protection Dua When Facing Oppressors

Allah is the Most Great, Mightier than all His creation. He is Mightier than what I fear and dread. I seek refuge in Allah, Who there is none worthy of worship but Him. He is the One Who holds the Seven heavens from falling upon the earth except by His command. (I seek refuge in You Allah) from the evil of Your slave (say the person's name), and his helpers, his followers and his supporters from among the jinn and mankind. O Allah, be my support against their evil. Glorious are Your praises and mighty is Your patronage. Blessed is Your Name, there is no true God but You. Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (RA) : When you meet an influential person who is causing terror and you fear that he will attack you, you will say three times: (The dua is mentioned above)

Sahih. Adabul Mufrad: 708

اَللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ، سَرِيعَ الْحِسَابِ، اِهْزِمِ الْأَحْزَابَ، اَللَّهُمَّ اهْزِمْهُمْ وَزَلْزِلْهُمْ

Dua for Victory Against Enemies

Allah, Revealer of the Book, Swift to account, defeat the groups (of disbelievers). O Allah, defeat them and shake them.

Bukhari: 2818, 2833, 2933

اَللَّهُمَّ مَتِّعْنِي بِسَمْعِي وَبَصَرِي وَاجْعَلْهُمَا الْوَارِثَ مِنِّي، وَانْصُرْنِي عَلَى مَنْ ظَلَمَنِي وَخُذْ مِنْهُ بِثَأْرِي

Dua for Health and Protection

O Allah, grant me enjoyment of my hearing and sight, and keep them healthy and sound until the day I die, and aid me against those who oppress me, and avenge me from them.

Sahih. Bukhari, Al-Adabul Mufrad 1/226

رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا مَعَ الْقَوْمِ الظَّالِمِينَ

Quranic Dua for Protection from Oppressors

Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people.

Surah A'raf 7:47

أُعِيْذُكُمَا بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَّهَامَّةٍ وَّمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لَامَّةٍ

Prophet’s Dua Against Evil Eye & Harm

I seek protection for you in the Perfect Words of Allah from every devil and every beast, and from every envious blameworthy eye.

Bukhari: 3371

لَا إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّى كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِيْنَ

Masnun Dua at Difficult Times

None has the right to be worshipped but You (O Allah), Glorified (and Exalted) are You. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers.

Sahih. Tirmidhi: 3505

لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ

Dua for Distress (Masnun Dua)

None has the right to be worshipped but Allah. Woe unto the Arabs from a danger that has come near. An opening has been made in the wall of Gog and Magog like this," making a circle with his thumb and index finger. Zainab bint Jahsh (RA) said, "O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)! Shall we be destroyed even though there are pious persons among us?" He said, "Yes, when the evil person will increase."

Bukhari: 3346

اَللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أُقَاتِلُ وَبِكَ أُصَاوِلُ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ

Dua for Help in War and Struggles

O Allah, I fight with Your help, I attack with Your help. No power or ability is (effective) without your help.

Sahih (Albani). Silsilatul Sahiha: 1061

اُغْزُوا بِاسْمِ اللَّهِ فِي سَبِيْلِ اللَّهِ قَاتِلُوا مَنْ كَفَرَ بِاللَّهِ اُغْزُوا وَلَا تَغُلُّوا وَلَا تَغْدِرُوا وَلَا تَمْثُلُوا وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا وَلِيْدًا

Masnun Dua Before Battle

Fight in the name of Allaah and in the path of Allaah and with him who disbelieves in Allaah fight and do not be treacherous and do not be dishonest about boot yand do not deface (in killing) and do not kill a child. If someone is made the amir (commander) of a small or large army (or on behalf of a contemporary ruler) he will bequeath to him the fear of Allah about himself and to treat the Muslims (Soldiers) under him well. Then say - (the Dua is mentioned above)

Muslim: 1731

يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا تَتَمَنَّوْا لِقَاءَ الْعَدُوِّ وَسَلُوْا اللَّهَ الْعَافِيَةَ، فَإِذَا لَقِيْتُمُوْهُمْ فَاصْبِرُوْا، وَاعْلَمُوْا أَنَّ الْجَنَّةَ تَحْتَ ظِلَالِ السُّيُوفِ.

Prophet’s Advice on War (Safety Dua)

O people! Do not wish to face the enemy (in a battle) and ask Allah to save you (from calamities) but if you should face the enemy, then be patient and let it be known to you that Paradise is under the shades of swords.

Bukhari: 2966

اَللَّهُمَّ مُنْزِلَ الْكِتَابِ، وَمُجْرِيَ السَّحَابِ، وَهَازِمَ الْأَحْزَابِ، اِهْزِمْهُمْ وَانْصُرْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ.

Most Powerful Dua against Enemy

O Allah! The Revealer of the (Holy) Book, the Mover of the clouds, and Defeater of Al-Ahzab (i.e. the clans of infidels), defeat them infidels and bestow victory upon us.

Bukhari: 2966

إِنَّا إِذَا نَزَلْنَا بِسَاحَةِ قَوْمٍ فَسَاءَ صَبَاحُ الْمُنْذَرِيْنَ

Dua When Facing Enemy (Masnun Dua)

Surely when we approach a (hostile) nation (to fight), then evil will be the morning for those who have been warned."

Bukhari: 4197
