Debt

O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of what You have forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You. Ali (RA) narrated: That a Mukatib came to him and said: “Indeed I am not capable of my Kitabah so aid me.” He said: “Should I not teach you words that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) taught me? If you had a debt upon you similar to the mountain of Sir, Allah would fulfill it for you. He said: (The dua is mentioned above)

O Allah, Master (and owner) of the Dominion (or Kingdom), You give the dominion to whom You will, and You take the dominion from whom You will, and You exalt whom You will, and You humiliate whom You will. In Your Hand is all goodness. Verily, You are Able to do all things. The Beneficent and the Merciful of this world and the hereafter, You bestow them on whomever You will and withhold them from whomever You will. Have mercy on me, (such) Mercy that would not make me in need of the mercy of others (than you). The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said to Mu'adh (RA), 'If you pray this Dua, Allah will repay you even if you have a mountain of debt.

O Allah, indeed, I seek refuge in You from the trial of the Fire, and the punishment of the Fire, and the punishment of the grave, and the trial of the grave, and from the evil of the trial of the grave, and from the evil of the trials of wealth, and from the evils of the trials of poverty, and from the evil of the trial of the false Masih. O Allah, wash my sins with water of ice and hail, and cleanse my heart of sins, as You cleansed a white garment of filth, and distance me and my sins as You distanced between the east and the west. O Allah, indeed, I seek refuge in You from laziness, senility, sin and debt.

O Allah, I seek refuge with You from being overwhelmed with debt, from being overpowered by the enemy and from the enemy rejoicing over my misfortunes.

May Allah bless you in your family and your wealth, surely the reward for a loan is praise and returning (what was borrowed).

May Allah bless you in your family and your property. `Abdur-Rahman (RA) then said, "Where is your market?" So they showed him the Qainuqa' market. (He went there and) returned with a profit in the form of dried yogurt and butter. He continued going (to the market) till one day he came, bearing the traces of yellow scent. The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "What is this (scent)?" He replied, "I got married." The Prophet (ﷺ) asked, "How much Mahr did you give her?" He replied, "I gave her a datestone of gold or a gold piece equal to the weight of a date-stone." The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Arrange a marriage banquet even with a sheep.

You have repaid my debt in full, may Allah reward you in full.
